Another study investigated the effects of hydrogen-enriched water (HW) on eliminating carbon nanoparticles (CNP) from the lungs and carbon microparticles (CMP) from the blood. 

Rats were orally administered with purified water (PW) or HW for a certain duration, and then exposed to CNP or CMP. 

The results showed that HW effectively reduced CNP-induced pneumoconiosis (lung disease caused by inhalation of dust particles) and improved systemic hematological alterations. 

Additionally, HW enhances phagocytic activity, leading to rapid clearance of CMP from the blood. 

In vitro experiments demonstrated that HW inhibited lipid peroxidation, a process associated with oxidative stress. 

These findings suggest that HW can effectively eliminate particulate matters and alleviate lung injuries by reducing oxidative stress.
